Hi its months since I last posted, but I want to start a traveling chart on my group x stitch circle, so am using this blog so that anyone can join in (I got the idea from Angela hooked on stitches blog) sorry Angela that I'm copying you. SO if you know anyone who would like to join in please leave a comment on this blog.
We will use a simple chart that you will be able to use your own thread on , this is how it works I choose the first person from the list of stitchers who have signed up for this, that person will have a month to stitch the chart (which I will send to her) after she has finished it she will choose the next person to stitch it, once you have been chosen you must stitch this chart within the month no excuses!!. So please sign up and lets get this chart traveling

EXCHANGES AND FINISHES

HI ALL, today I got the most beautiful pin keep from my partner in TINY TREASURES, Bev, I love it , its so pretty. thank you. I have also finished my" naked lady" just have to find a frame for it. I thought I'd get a white one, as when I bought the chart from a show I was at it was displayed in a black frame and I thought it looked to heavy, and over powered the stitching. I have just finished 2 LK ornaments but can't show you yet as they are for exchanges, which aren't due to be mailed until Aug. so thats all my news for now, hope you like the photos

RATS AND EXCHANGES

Hi thought I'd better catch up, lots has happened. I have received two lovely exchanges, one from my good friend Angela, we did a Prairie schooler with each other, and Angela stitched my very first flat fold, so I was over the moon about that, and then I got one from Natasha in the Tiny Treasures group which was a floss tag with extras, so thank you both for them.

THEN I WENT MAD and aquired two rats as pets!!! any one who knows me will know I always have had pets of all sorts and after loosing my cocker spaniel "Prim" about 18 months ago now, I was without any pets (except some fish) which isn't the same!! so I decided to get a couple of rats, I have kept them before, and they make lovely pets. I got these two from a lady, her daughter had them but wasn't spending much time with them so she thought it only fair to rehome them, they are grey and white and are called DOTTY and LILLY, I'll up load a few photos, but they are only taken through the bars of the cage as they never keep still enough when they are out side the cage, they are only 4 months old so still have a bit of growing to do. Well i could go on for ever about them so i'll say bye for now

THE STITCH SHOW

Well I'm back from the show, worn out but happy!!! I spent loads of money, got some nice evenweave, buttons, bibbon, a good deal with the magazine Cross Stitcher (3 issues for a £1) and a lovely chart of a naked woman (I know it sounds odd) but I love it its just stitched in black and grey and mostly just the out line of her body all except her hair which is a solid area of stitches, I'll take a photo later. I'll stitch her on white EW , I have a piece that has a little sparkle in it, so should look nice.

Hi, aren't I clever!!! just worked out how to get a nice background. took me about an hour, back wards and forwards I had about five saved but had to work out that I had to remove one before I could change to another, anyway I think this is nice for now. Eileen

well here I am about time too!!!! I'm just no good at writing on blogs. I've finished quite a few bits of stitching, several ornaments for my group (can't post a picture of them all, as i havn't sent them out yet) I've also sent the biscornu to my partner in the Tiny Treasures group. I've also done a lot of stitching on my Indian but havn't taken a photo yet.
I had a lovely St Patricks Day evening (Tuesday) Mick and I met up with friends we havn't seen for years so I really enjoyed catching up with all the news.
It was my Granddaughter's birthday on the 13th so we had a nice week-end going out with her and eating lots of cake (she is 3)
The best news is I'm going to a stitching show tomorrow!!! can't wait, I go to two a year, so i hope to stock up with some even weave, which I can't get near here (only white or biege) and I'm sure I shall find lots more to buy.

Hi thanks for dropping by it was my birthday on the 26th and I had a lovely present from my friend Angela in Canada, she is so thoughtful and sent me lots of goodies!. I also got a book, the new one from Joan Elliott called "Bewitching Cross Stitch" also some other charts which I'm waiting for, I'll put a photo on later when they arrive. i also got lots of thread and cards from the birthday group exchange I'm in, so all in all I had a lovely day.

TWO MORE PHOTOS

Today I received the first exchange from Tiny treasures, its a lovely scissor fob the chart is from Prairie Schooler, one of my fav. designers. The second Picture, is one I've just framed it was a Round robin the chart from the Cross Country Stitching Magazine, I shall hang it in my hall for all to see!!!! I have just finished my part of the next Round Robin I'm in (with the same ladies as the new framed PIC) Its A Little House Needleworks chart called Pine Top lodge, I shall get a Photo on here soon. SO now its back to the Native American, hopefully it will be finished this year. I also got my birthday present today a bit early but I ordered it expecting it to take 14 days but it only took 3!!! my husband is buying it for me its Joan Elliots new book Bewitching cross stitch, so I had to have a look at it (to make sure it was ok!!!!) and now its been put away till the end of the month. I'm also getting some more charts from my son (he doesn't know yet!!) but shall order them later on.
I'll try not to leave it so long before I up date next time.

A TREE AT LAST!!!!

Hi all as you can see I have added some photos, I have only just found the time to put my tree up, and it was lovely to get out the ornaments I've stitched and had sent to me (I have more but didn't want to put to many on the blog) I have a bad cold and cough at the moment so I'm just hopeing that I'll be ok for the holidays, good job i have most of my shopping done.

Hi all, finally I have time to write a bit here and update my blog.
Last week i took my grandaughter to London (Regent ST. and Oxford St.) to see the christmas lights, it was very cold but we had a nice time.
On the stitching side I have just completed a floss tag (my first) I am doing an exchange with my stitching friend Angela, it is her first one also. I have also finished an ornament for a stitcher in my group, we start to exchange in Jan. As both of these will be a surprise I can't put any photos on here yet. I have also joined the Tiny Treasures group and I'm looking forward to exchangeing next year.

Hi All, I thought I'd tell you a bit about the photo of Kalvin (our bird) he is a Harris Hawk, we've had him for 25 odd years now and he is about 23 years old.
My husbands friend went abroad and asked him to look after Kalvin, and he never came back!!! so we agreed to give him a permanent home. He comes indoors some times but lives mostly in the garden in a large aviary, my husband flies him every day so he gets a lot of excercise.

Hi I've just joined "The Tiny Treasures Exchange" and have to stitch a scissor fob to be mailed in January. At the moment I'm stitching a floss tag (first one ever) to exchange with my stitching friend Angela.
My Yahoo group is now running well, we are doing exchanges every month and a few RR's. I hope to start up some games when the Christmas holidays are over and we are all back to normal.
I did some more Christmas shopping today so am nearly finished! hoo ray!!!
